How often Should you blog ?

I’m often asked how much time small business owners should spend blogging. First, let me say that it is absolutely crucial that small business owners manage a blog for their company. Second, I will even say that they should manage a secondary blog for more personal entries and tie that blog with the business blog.

Third, in response to the question, the amount of time that a small business owner should spend blogging is directly proportionate to several aspects: The goals he has for his company, the type of company he operates, his own personality and his time management skills.

If I say that you should write one blog post per day that may be too much for some business owners. Likewise, if I tell you to write one blog post per week, that may be too little for other business owners.

It all depends on the aspects listed above. With all this being said, I will explain what business owners should keep in mind when determining how much time they should spend blogging. so you can join the best digital marketing institute in Delhi to learn more about blogging and digital marketing.

Blogging helps SEO

Google highly favours sites that have some authority. By writing blog posts and sharing them with customers, you open the doors for conversation and word of mouth marketing. and blogging effectively helps to SEO.

Those little comments in the comment box carry a lot of authority — they prove that people like your company and product.

Moreover, the keywords you use in your blog posts, if they are related to your product, can help major search engines find your site’s URL.

Blogging engages the customers

Unlike your actual company website, which should strive to provide customers with plenty of information about your product, your blog is a place to engage your customers. Think of the blog posts as icebreakers, something to get people talking.

When you can personally interact with your customers, you begin to build a loyal fan-base for your product. People love feeling included; they want to be a part of something. When you engage your customers, you are including them in your company.

Always try your best to respond to every comment no matter how small the comments may be. Whether the comments are positive, negative, short, long, insightful or shallow, you should always respond.

Manage your time

Depending on your company goals; you may not have all the time in the world to blog. However, with some simple time management, you can truly discover how much time you have for blogging.

Ideally, you should spend a little more than half of your time promoting your product, a quarter of your time developing your product and sales pitch and another quarter of your time engaging with your customers. If you can combine some of these elements in your blog, then you obviously have more time for blogging than you think you do.

Regardless, you can’t spend all of your time engaging with your customers. If you neglect your company or product, you won’t have anything to blog about.

I advise you to sit down and plan your day in advance. You should have a strict schedule to follow. Write a note that details what you should be doing at what times.

Conclusion

If you do not a blog, you are losing potential sales. Your customers are important, so you need to give them the attention they deserve.

By blogging, you are consequently answering questions, building a loyal fan-base, promoting your product and providing your customers with a way to share your company via social media share buttons.

Though I cannot truly tell you how much time you should spend blogging, I will tell you that there should be at least one new blog every week. That should be enough to keep your site authoritative and ranked. It will also give your customers a reason to come back to your site.

The most important thing is to stick to a routine. Once your customers discover your posting patterns, they will be more aware when to come back to your site for a visit.
